Just when we thought RockWire Mt Buller had hit peak adventure, they’ve gone and taken things up a notch—literally. Route 2 is the brand-new addition to Australia’s only via ferrata, and it’s steeper, higher, and more thrilling than ever. If Route 1 left you buzzing, Route 2 is about to redefine what you thought was possible.

What Makes Route 2 So Epic?

Designed by RockWire’s founder James Webb, Route 2 brings a bigger challenge with steeper climbs, longer traverses, and way more exposure. Think massive views, high-wire bridges, and that unbeatable feeling of conquering something truly wild.

“With Route 2, we wanted to raise the stakes while keeping the adventure accessible,” says Webb. “It’s a mix of challenge, exhilaration, and sheer awe, all wrapped up in one incredible climb. Whether you’re brand new to via ferrata or already hooked from Route 1, this is next-level fun.”
